Simple basil dressing

About this recipe

A great way of using up any leftover fresh herbs is to make a really simple dressing.

So easy to make and the perfect way to finish a dish.

Using extra virgin olive oil is a brilliant source of powerful antioxidants that have been shown to have beneficial effects on heart health.


6 Tbsp olive oil
Juice and zest of one lemon
2 Tbsp white wine vinegar / apple cider vinegar
2 Handfuls of fresh basil
1 Clove of garlic
Plenty of salt and pepper


Simply blitz all the ingredients together in a food processor until smooth.

Taste for seasoning, adding in more salt and pepper or lemon juice if needed.

Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 1 month.
