About this recipe
This beautiful brassica vegetable is very simple to cook.
Simply pair with peas and mushrooms for a delicious side dish to compliment any meal. I’ve used a splash of soy sauce and chilli flakes, but you could also use a little miso paste mixed with hot water or a teriyaki marinade.

1x Large Pak Choy, sliced in half
2 Tbsp sesame oil
100g Peas (fresh or frozen)
50g Chopped tender stem broccoli
100g Shiitake mushrooms, finely sliced
15 mls Soy sauce
1/2 Tsp chilli flakes
Heat the oil in a large frying pan one low to medium heat and place the pak choy cut side down to sear the flesh for about 2 minutes
Add the broccoli, mushrooms stirring for another 2 minutes
Turn the pak choy pieces over and splash in the soy sauce with the peas and chilli flakes
Cover with a lid for 2 minutes until the vegetables are cooked
Try serving with grilled tofu or white fish
Try sprinkling on some sesame seeds for a delicious touch
